I was born in Jamaica's Blue Mountains, a direct descendant of Queen Nanny, into a Maroon healing tradition three hundred years old. My mother, a master herbalist, put plants in my hands at three years old. She is 103 and still teaching.
Sixty-five years of practice carried me across six continents and more than thirty countries: traditional healers across eighteen African nations, monks and Ayurvedic teachers in Asia, Mayan plant medicine in Central America, Aboriginal healers in Australia, European naturopathy, and Native American herbal traditions. In 1979 I introduced aloe vera to the American supplement market.
Today I practice from Belize, in the Mayan region, through Mayan Botanicals and DocTA Herbalist Dwight LLC. The work centres on metabolic wellness and the Sweet Blood Protocol: food as medicine, and a protocol built for a person's constitution rather than their diagnosis code.
